The issue of data breach continues to increase in 2012 with targets that include:

There are many reasons why this happens, and some involve careless employees. Many companies don't permit the use of flash drives for obvious reasons. 

And, this reporter learned about another potential source during a Microsoft sponsored luncheon...a not so innocent IM involving a file transfer. Other issues include unsecured laptops and work stations.

Make it a policy to have employees secure their areas before leaving files and portable equipment unattended.
